Animation

Hi everyone,

I'm new to Terragen and have downloaded the free terragen 4 trial! I have created some landscape stills but want to be able to animate them so you are able to fly through the landscapes I create. I can't find out if i can do this on the free trial and if i can how to do so!! if anyone can help that'll be amazing.

As you can read, the animation function are available when you purchase a TG license.

Hi Lydia, once you resolve the licensing issue (which we covered in the support email just sent to you), you should have access to animation functions. Use the docs caKus linked above to understand how to do basic animation. Flythroughs are usually fairly simple. The main issue you may run into is render time, depending on how powerful your machine is and how high you want the resolution and detail.

Do you have any other links that show a step by step of how to create a fly through?? I keep finding tutorials but they're for more complexed animations. Thanks for your help so far!!

There are a couple of animation-specific tutorials from GeekAtPlay as part of their Terragen 4 tutorial series:

Once you understand the basic principles of animating in Terragen it should be pretty simple to create a basic flythrough.
