Thanks to buzzzzz and Tangled-Universe for the .tgd file. I've been very interested in the 'cracked rocks' put together by TU and the elements created by both artists in this .tgd. I've added a 512 DEM file of Bright Angel Point; and, some bush objects I received from buzzzzz for this scene. Two populations were added; each of a different color representing the typical vegetation we see in the desert ...enjoy.

Nicely done.  My only complaint is that the foreground rocks could be a bit more detailed (read: rougher).

yes the foreground looks a little pale compared to bg....I like the clouds too...

Thanks guys; I've been trying to figure out what to do to give those boulders some grit. Using Tangled-Universe's clip file I expected they would turn out that way; but, what I see is what I get.

Very nice, I like this a lot. The lighting is superb  ;D
I love the smell of caffine in the morning

Hi Bob,

Nice to see u have used my clipfile nicely in this one. And yes, the rocks/boulders could use a little more displacement/rougher look. About the foreground groundcover (lack of) detail; I've been working on some nice gritty detailed soil this week, so maybe we can put our hands together on this one further? Please let me know if you're interested. The rest of the image is really really nice. The clouds and displacements on the terrain look great and the vegetation works fine with the scene.
It seems you're getting used to TG2 more and more :)

Jizzz, what the h... is that!!! Great one here!!! I agree with the others, the foreground needs a little work but the overall is outstanding!!!!

Very good job.  Listen to o_b.  He's a good critic to have on your side.
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

Man, that's a very fine render! The only thing I noticed is the 'fake stones over fake stones' problem with some of your rocks close to the camera. But this scene is great, crisp and realistic. Scale is just right as well. Three thumbs up as they say :)

mhaze

great feel to this - good use of the cracked rocks and the dem file
