maybe its just me but I can't seem to tell where it touches down.
The world is round... so you have to use spherical projection.

The tornado is within the sky - it just looks like a cloud layer masked with an image map along with a cleverly positioned camera to make it have a good perspective.

oh, well the angle is convincing if not a little flat. Good job :)

Not sound sound overly critical, but isn't that sky the wrong color for tornado weather, even though the one shown here can be more more then an F-1, all the footage and still images I've seen of tornado's the sky has been a filthy Grey/Green and quite dark looking.

Other than that, great job.
