Hi,

I'm just trying to update my old xFrog trees. I've made my own displacement map for the trees and added some moss.

This was only meant as a test scene for my trees, but I t thought I might share it.

Makes me wonder: is there an easy way to quickly update the tree or add it to the library?
I can't figure it out, so if this is not possible, it would be a nice feature @Matt

I like that idyllic place very much!
Nice render, worth being finished. :)

...though I wouldn't add to much. Only very view and very discrete details to keep that mood.
e.g. I could imagine some slight and thin groups of high grass. Some of them around the trees.

Sorry from my history with slow PCs I stopped using the library so I can't tell anything about it.

That looks great! Love the bark look with the moss down low. I often doctor textures for my objects. I created new maps for my fir tree AP made me (still so thankful for that).

I'm not sure if this helps, but here are some ideas from the Library documentation:

There are several ways of adding items to the Library:

  • To add multiple items at once you can click the "Scan Folder" button in the top toolbar. This allows you to choose a folder on your hard drive to scan for items that can be added to the library. When you click the button a dialog opens which allows you to choose what sort of items to load and whether to scan subfolders as well. Click the "Choose Folder..." button in that dialog to choose a folder and start scanning.
  • Items can be added automatically to the Library when you open/load them. For example projects can be added to the Library when they're opened. You can control what gets added automatically using the Library preferences panel. By default all supported types are added to the Library automatically.
  • Items are added to the Library automatically when they're saved. For example if you save a project it will be added to the Library. This behaviour can be turned off in the Library preferences panel.

I was thinking more of a way to simply add an object to the library. I've changed the
shaders of these trees in TG and would like to just right click on the model and choose
"add to library" if that makes sense? Would also be great to have an option "update model in library"
