How to use terragen to create heightnaps for ue4?

I've been wondering how I can generate terrain on TerraGen and bring them to ue4 as heightmaps cause on the internet I can't really find any helpful tutorials on how.

There are several ways to export terrain, so I suggest you use the search function here and look for 'export terrain'. There are lots of discussions and links there, like this one: https://planetside.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic,22384.msg225588.html#msg225588
You could use the micro-exporter (needs professional licence I think) to export geometry, or export a vector displacement map to build the terrain in other software, or use an orthocamera and export a black-white heightmap. Most will be described in the threads and here: TG wiki
