Hi,

I'm working on a new project.

The house/cabin is modeled with Blender. It's not perfect, but I'm still learning this software.
Vegetation is models from PlantCatalog, Xfrog and 3D Shaker.

I know there are some issues. For example grass growing onto the terrace. I will fix that and more, but this
test render just finished and I wanted to share what I have so far.

Hope you like it  :)

Indeed. Very nice place!

Yes  - a good place to relax and be creative :)

That is a very beautiful render, very rich and deep. Some of the best TG work indeed!

WAS

This is really well done, like usual. :P I particularly really like that one little stand of trees (right to the right of the house with the brown bark). I've got a distribution rig I was working to accomplish similar by creating mounds on the terrain, masking to them at half scale (lifting black point) and then putting the trees in with a extreme lean. So it looks like the root system has created a mound, and the trees lean from it. This reminds me I gotta do something with that setup.

I love the undergrowth mix in this picture, the shore as well.  Nice misty atmosphere.

Lovely scene. The detail in the shoreline and ground cover is outstanding.

Update:

Added mountain which is created with Gaea.
Somehow I always end up with a snowy mountain in my scenes  ::)

Dune

I don't know which version I like best. I think even the misty one, which has more mystery and quiet. This is leaning towards 'average', though I surely like the whole render. My personal opinion, mind you.

What if dragons still existed?
Trying to make it more interesting  ;D

If there are dragons I need another place for retirement   ::) ??? ;D

But in my eyes the absolutely best version is the one with the very, very slight remains of mist. It's all very coherent and harmonious - very beautiful!

Dune

This is really cool, and cinematographic. The mist playing around that dragon is great. This and the first version are my favorite renders. Perhaps some furniture in the house, and some person standing there, gazing at the empty water...

Jo Kariboo

Indeed it can attract attention but why? To my taste, your first two versions are more interesting!
