The patch size is in meters, AFAIK, so for exact angle on 10cm displacements, you'd need to set it to 0.1 or so.
Indeed, I only had it half right which was no good at all. Thanks again for the wisdom.
The more I use Terragen, the more I realize the world is not so small.

The Quixel tree trunks are interesting and you've displayed them nicely.  They come in handy if you are using Speedtree as you can start the construction of a custom tree using the the scanned trunk and texture and then extend and modify the body of the tree upwards using the initial form and textures to complete your model, adding additional textures for branches if needed, not to mention leaves, needles, etc. BTW I sent you a PM.  :)
