As the name suggests, depending on the snowmelt, the lakes are larger or smaller, survive the summer or not.

Nice. Small suggestion: try to make the waterline a little different, more rocky, less grass, or darker, something so the grass doesn't just 'bump' into the water.

Thank you very much for your suggestions. I can understand them very well and will try to render a second version in the near future, as I am not completely satisfied with the shore either.
Nevertheless, I would like to point out that there are also such lakes with "sharp" shores. (as an example a lake from Austria)

As announced here are two more variants of the meltwater lakes. In V3 clouds are now reflected in the lakes. Apart from that, I have redesigned the shorelines, chosen the color of the grass a bit more "alpine" and the surfaces of the lakes are now slightly moved by the wind.

Look good so far as a starter...
The waterline looks sharp like a knife, I would soften it.

Dune explained to me a few years ago, how I could do it.
Here's how...

Thank you for your well-meaning advice, but it's not supposed to be a sandy beach. It's a depression in the ground that fills with water seasonally, or not... There's no time for the formation of a beach. Meltwater lakes are simply more or less large ponds, which can have quite "sharp" edges, as shown in the picture above of the Austrian lake. If I have time and leisure, I might have to deal with a sandy beach.
