Iron Age island

I'm working on a project at the moment, based on an island.
Hmmmnnnn....how to explain it?
It's an alternative history of an island close to where I grew up. The island (through corruption and skullduggery) was sold to a Russian firm that processes bauxite, which is brought in by ship from Africa, Peru, various countries.
When I was a child the island was a wildlife paradise, absolutely beautiful. Now it's a stinking nightmare, turned into settling ponds for the processed ore, leaking into the Shannon.
I'm writing a 'secret history' of the island, set in the Iron Age. Because most of the island has been removed, I have free rein as to what may once have existed there.
This is the island as it is now:

I have an 1836 OS map of the island, which shows the remains of various raths (iron age circular defensive earthworks, which are dotted all over the landscape in Ireland).
Is anyone interested in doing aerial views of an ancient island? I can describe what the landscape was like before it was destroyed - a lot of the vegetation was quite short, eaten down by goats, plus drifts of yellow gorse, trees dotted around, small ponds. aughinish raths shown.png
Payment and credit if I use the image in my project.

Ooops, I've just realised this isn't a very appropriate section of the forum to have posted this in. Apologies!

Sounds interesting, very intriguing project. If I weren't so busy, it would be an adventure to dive into, but I'm afraid I have to decline myself. Maybe post this on the Discord server for more views?
