So, I've been trying to do a bunch of different renders, and they all end up with the same glitchy problem: I'm ending up with an annoying little white dot or square when I try to render the sun behind clouds.  Help would be greatly appreciated.

that actually is the sun, just do a crop render around that area and you'll see it's fine

edit: in case it's showing up, just uncheck 'visible disc'
perfection is not when there's nothing more to add, it's reached when nothing more can be left out

or else you can enable ray tracing...

I had enabled ray tracing, wanting some sunrays in the image.  But hey, it lives!  Unchecking visible disc did the trick.  Thanks a ton...I feel a bit stupid now... :-[

From what I can see in your preview, that image looks pretty sweet.  Be sure to post the final result.
