I've bought myself a new computer and I am having more troubles with Terragen now.
My old computer was a AMD and my new one is a Intel. Is there usually more problems with Terragen on Intel?

Edit: Should probably mention that the problems I am having is crashes when I try to save after a while.

are you using the same operating system as before?
perfection is not when there's nothing more to add, it's reached when nothing more can be left out

Are you using the same graphics card as before?  I've never heard of any stability issues with Terragen between x86 architectures.

I am using the same same operating system and the same graphics card as before. That is the only thing I didn't change.

Neither Intel nor AMD should present any particular stability issues, nor should one be more reliable than the other. When the crashes occur, do you get any additional crash information such as a "module name", DLL, etc? What operating system are you using?

I am using Windows xp Professional x32 SP2.

This is the info I get when it crashes

What info do you get when you "click for more info"? Have you installed the relevant AMD/VIA/etc. Chipset drivers? This is something that AMD CPU's/motherboards require but Intel ones do not, and if you haven't installed such drivers you will definitely have problems.

My new computer is a Intel. So this is something I don't need.... right?

Edit: It happens everytime I try to use a image map shader and then try to save my scene.

Anyway. Here is a little more info

My mistake, yes it would not be necessary to have chipset drivers for Intel.

When you are using an Image Map Shader, are you using the same image, or different ones? Are they images that have worked before? Are you using Through Camera projection? What format is the image in (bmp, tiff, etc)?

I'm not sure if this is the same thing or not, but the scene I am working on at the moment will crash every time I forget to choose a camera when using the image map shader.  I am using a .jpg image with through camera projection.  If I don't choose a camera it will crash, if I do choose a camera it is fine.  Might be a good idea that if you don't choose a camera it should default to the "Render Camera".   Again, not sure if it is the same issue, but it was something simple that was driving me nuts for a couple hours till I realized what I had done.

Oshyan

That's probably the same issue and it's a known problem (not having a camera when using Through Camera projection). I think the reality is that Through Camera just probably shouldn't be the default, but of course the bug should be fixed as well.

I'm not using through camera projection. I have used different images. They have worked before and they are jpg.

Then I'm at a loss to explain your issue. I can't reproduce it here and I'm not aware of anyone else experiencing anything similar. I think at this point it would make sense to examine your new system and see if there are other stability issues with other programs or benchmarks. I recommend trying Memtest86+ and Prime95 for stress testing. If both of those pass then I'd be more inclined to think it's a TG2 specific issue.

I think I have figured out the problem.

One of my folders on the computer was named Grass & Moss. Obviously, this is the folder where my images of grass & moss lies.
I don't think Terragen 2 liked that. Cause when I renamed it to just grass it worked fine. I have not had any more problems after this.
Maybe I should just use the name Grass on my folder......eh.

I can finally use Terragen again. So I'm happy ;D

That sounds likely. TG doesn't like space in file/directory names.

Also watch out if you try to use special characters in node names. Stay away from underscores, slashes, etc. You see mighty weird behavior if you break that rule - inter-node connections disappear, etc. If you don't realize where the trouble is it can be VERY frustrating.
