Help: atmosphere problem

what are those lines on the shadow side of the planet caused by ? nomatter what i tweak in the atmosphere settings those lines still appear. Any help or tips would be appreciated.

is GI activated ?

yes, i've never had a problem with GI before, I'll try a render without it to see if that helps

Turining off GI fixed it, thanks Seth
