Hello everyone,

I was trying to use Terrangen for terain generation for a couple of days.I have to admit that i m overwhelmed by its capabilities and photo-realistic results.Tough i want to use generated terrains by Terragen in openflight format(*.flt).Is there any way to save or use the generated terrain in my real time scene. In addition what parts of generated terrain in Terragen, i can use in real time. For example Terragen has awesome volumetric clouding plating rocks, trees, water, colouring like snow on mountains and green valleys etc, colouring surface and thou makes usable textures. In short which part of all these capabiities i can use in my real time scene and how do i do that.

Thak you for reading and getting interested in my problem :)

I'm pretty sure you're going to need to look into other alternatives.  I don't believe (but I don't know everything about this) you can plan to import a Terragen file from TG2 into an openflight format.
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

You could export the basic terrain fairly easily, although if terrain is your main interest there are better dedicated terrain modelers. For the sky you could export an environment map (cubic, spherical, etc.), which would involve rendering multiple adjacent images on a rotation of the camera in the scene. But this would be a static background only and you could not fly into or through it. The volumetric clouds, etc. cannot be duplicated in another program. After all, if you could have TG2 quality in realtime, you would think we'd already be doing that. ;)
