Sunrise / Sunset atmosphere and cloud colour/effect

I was struggling last nite to achieve the sky effect I wanted - as I was walking to my car the sky had gone that lovely dusky pink along the horizon and then as the sun set it made the clouds pink.

How do you do achieve that in TG2 - I had a go and the image is in the thread below:

but it was much too hazy.  The pink I saw was not hazy at all, just the sun influencing the horizon, and then up to the clouds, it was glorious and I would love to recreate that affect.

So how can I change the horizon colour (and cloud colour) to pinks and gold to mimic sunrise/sunset colours?

Probably a few ways to change the color - change the color of the sun and its strength, while moving the sun to 1 or even -1 or -2.  Another couple of ways is to slightly change the atmosphere or even change the cloud colors slightly.
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

As Calico said there are many ways to achieve this sort of look, some more realistic (or easier) than others. I would start by trying to roughly duplicate the real-life circumstances. Put the sun low on the horizon or even slightly below it, put any clouds in the sky that may have been present, adjust sunlight strength as necessary to get the right *amount* of light (also make sure you're using Global Illumination [GI] and probably settings of 2/2 for sample quality and relative detail respectively). Once you have the general lighting you can adjust colors. Try subtly changing the "blue sky horizon" or "haze" colours in the atmosphere for example. Small changes have a big effect though, and be sure to save your "before" scene just in case!
