Since I've been all about work and no play I've haven't even opened up Terragen in many months. even after purchasing Deep w/ Animation. However the announcement about the upcoming alpha release reminded me about a bug I've been wanting to report for a couple of releases now but have not made the time to do so :P.

The idea of the hanging vines was inspired by a post about applying a shader to cover just angles greater than 90. I simply did a quick model of a vine placing the origin at the top of the model, populated an inverted crater with the model (constraining it as stated) and then added outward displacement to that crater. Very simple. :P

I couldn't get the lower left hand corner to render, however, as it would crash above .25 quality. I had to photoshop the final image to finish it. Here's a crop of the corner where I've stitched together pieces I was able to render:
