A wildly different direction from me. :D I'm not usually a fan of (modern) country, but this guy Colter Wall is pretty fantastic. Also he's like 22.

Put on an old Al Stewart album this afternoon and while listening to Flying Sorcery on a whim googled "Amy Johnson." Fascinating bit of aviation history, the guy did his homework. Of all his songs (that I'm familiar with) this is one of my favorites, but never knew the story behind it.

Listening to Tom Petty. I love the Wildflowers album because it's "concert ready" -- no studio fades and precious little embellishment. And talk about restrained drummers!

Wildflowers is one of my favorites, for sure.
