Here`s a rough list of the settings that I`m using & I`ve realised (too late) where I went wrong... BIG STYLE!!!

System spec`s:

   XPPro
   AMD Sempron 2600+ (1.8GHz)
   768MB ram
   GForce 7600GS

<render
   name = "Full Render"
   800*600
   detail = "1"
   anti-aliasing = "3"
   GI not activated
   do_ray_traced_shadows = "1"
   soft_clip_effect = "1"
   soft_clip_softness = "1"
   compensate_soft_clip = "1"

and the error... BIG WHOOPS!!!
Just noticed this setting`s WAAAY too high.

>Cloud
   Number of samples = "384"

As for the image, after 70 hours & many minutes...
I had to stop it.

Needed the computer for a few jobs which had to be done & away for a couple of days.
Shame there`s no way to restart it even after a switch off, but I live & learn (I hope!!).

I`ll start again, with less samples ;), when I`ve the chance.

Just about to add the .tgc to the cloud library.

Enjoy.

P.S. How`s this for a strange cloud setting?...(I`ll send this to the library too).

For your pc configuration I wouldn't recommend using cloud samples as high as that unless it is a very complicated cloud system like enourmous cumulous clouds at close range. A better way of getting less grainy images is to increase the atmosphere samples. I usually put it to 40-110 depending on the type of render.
Figured out how to do clicky signatures
