Thanks for visiting and your comments. The scene here is typical of the southwestern desert in the early springtime and in the fall when the winds are gentle and rains are sparse. This scene depicts a late afternoon when the day before provided a fair amount of rain filling the gully with fresh water providing a much needed drink by the vegetation.

Many thanks for the generosity of the following artists for certain elements contained in the picture:
•   The green, reworked, hot air balloon – This talented artist prefers to remain anonymous
•   The distant, hot air balloon – gregsandor
•   The Eucalyptus tree – jacinbama
•   The grass – klas
•   The reworked, Small Bush 2 – buzzzzz1

There are two populations of fake stones. If I were to remake this scene, I would have reworked the stones to attain more variance in color and detail. Now, color wise, they all look too much alike.

I like it.
It is kind of surrealistic because of the colours, together with the balloons they make it very, hmm, friendly, joyful?
It isn´t one of those photorealistic renders, although closer to that than I get most times.
If you should want photorealism it would be a thing of one ore two imagemaps blended slightly into the rock and stones I think.
But for me it is brilliant as it is.
Best regards,
Jan
