Hi
Probably some old and recursive questions, but I could not find the answers...
What are the formats that are accepted from highfield load?
Are there any scripts to load asc files or any formats that arcgis will export? Or/and in which free software can I create .ter files

Thanks
N.

Some answers -

TGA, TER, BMP

Bryce 5.0 is a free download and can be used to create and export image files that can then be run through TG .9.  Heck, you can even use Paint.net to create a file that can use greys, blacks, whites to create heights.  World Machine 2 is a free download and can be pretty useful.  GeoControl can be used, but it's time-limited, I think.

Thanks! ;)
I will try GeoControl, it looks intresting...
I was using Landserf (http://www.landserf.org) very simple and effective, but had some problem which I have just solved.

A few of us use GeoControl happily.  I forgot about another one that is lauded as wonderful and I agree - http://www.bundysoft.com/L3DT/  I've used the free version of L3DT to my delight.

We do not currently support any GIS formats natively. I recommend Wilbur, Leveller, or Global Mapper for GIS data import/export and conversion.
