Another nice approach.
Have you thought of making a height field from the pyramid(s)?
Should at least be faster. ;)

What i had in mind was making a heightfield from David Burnetts node
network in TG2 by connecting it to the shader input of the heightfield
node and generate it then.But,anyway,it was just a thought,so don't mind.

It would work that way but only for one pyramid structure, there's no way, that I know of anyway, to link all 9 up into one channel that would lead into a heightfield shader node. If there are any ideas how to make that work that'd be nice too.

*Minor edit to the above clip - 'Queens pyramid 4' was a little too big. Reduced the pyramid radius to 20m from the 22.5 it was before.
