hey guys heres just a wee update on FW (Floraworks)
as you may probably all know me and old blaggard are setting up the floraworks 3d plants company which will provide terragen 2 users with thousands and thousand of plants in the coming years ranging from the tallest redwoods to the tiniest flowers each plant will be modeled to perfection with high resolution textures etc. there will be plant from every corner of the globe from Switzerland to Mexico FW will have it and at cheap and realistic prices any artist can afford

so far 140 species of tree's (420 trees in total because 3 trees in each pack) have been made for FW . so far all are European trees this excludes ground covers and bushes i have made 20 different bush species which have evolved heaps from the bush pack v1 and v2 also about another 0 species of grass have been made such as the lawn grass which all purchasers of the FW ground cover set will get free in the update :) and heaps of other grasses including meadow grass (just for you Rarcher!) i have also made about 10 species of European flowers (i am going to make heaps more!) and i have made another 15 species of ground covers which will be included in an v2 deluxe set.
after european plants which will total around 400 species (this is just an est) i am going to move down through medetrainian countrys and into africa which host some of my favourite plants then i am going to move onto american plants starting from canada and moving down to Argentina.
then i am going to model plants from every part of asia and the middle east and move down through Australia and last of all NEW ZEALAND!!!! (yay ferns!)

so in a few years time there will be a truly monstrous collection plants at cheap as prices also a lot of freebies will be available
i bought a world plant encyclopedia book (My Bible!!!) last week which contains over 8500 trees plants flowers and shrubs from all over the world (i hope to model all of them!!!)
i am buying my domain name and web host space this week which will be cool so its not long of until you get to enter the largest 3d plant database in the world!!!

i love terragen and all the people on ps forums you are a great talented bunch of guys and gals and i think floraworks will really help artists achieve the maximum in the art natural environment creation. in a few years  i am hoping floraworks will evolve into planet sides cornucopia3d (eons model selling site and community) just without all the snobby old farts thinking 16 year old guys are worthless and cant model for shit >:(
anyway stay tuned and be in for a treat over the coming months!...............

Hi lightning,

This all sounds very exciting and quite ambitious but you sound like the sort of guy who has the dedication to see this through. Someone like ob is a great asset to have on board as well.

If the quality is as good (or better :)) than your ground cover pack i'm sure i'll be purchasing some of your future packs as well, especially seeing as your working on the scale issue and fixing the ground cover pack :)

Good luck!

If you alter your planned schedule to model mesoamerican tropical forest plants now I'll buy them as soon as they're ready.  Also I have a list of plants (especially crops like flax and tobacco) for my model of Williamsburg, and would rather buy from you than elsewhere.

Hi Lightning,

Just to let you know I got the email, so some are certainly working ok. Maybe the people who don't get your email could private message you.
