Can you export textured geometry in terragen to do camera mapping?
Since Terragen 2 is great at generating landscapes it would be cool to allow users to export low polygon geometry with texture mapping in obj file format to other applications.
It would also be nice to have some sort of video texture with alpha channel on basic geometry. So you can put your green screen or other footage in terragen, key it out and merge it with the scene.

If the environment would be a landscape. Terragen would be at its best.

You can export camera-dependent geometry using the LWO micro exporter. Searches on the forums should bring you some info on its use. You could also do textures by simply disabling all non-terrain elements from rendering, though this would be textures with the lighting intact. If you wanted "neutral" texture's you'd have to setup neutral lighting. Using exported geometry you can comp against a render from TG2 and do shadow casting, etc. I think that would be the preferred method, if available in your workflow.
