I like this especially at about 1/4th of the way downward.  The lighting there is sweet.  The glow at the top is distracting.

I like the "thick" atmosphere
Perhaps the atmosphere samples are a bit low; does somebody know where the graining comes from?

Usually, grain comes from low samples...low detail, especially in the atmosphere.  I like 32, 48 or I've even used 64, but I'm not sure 64 mattered.

Inky, if you mean the default atmosphere, I created one to use when I ran out.
