I would like to know if there are any real profits (less memory usage for example)for rendering from command line, without GUI?

As far as I know there are no significant benefits as far as memory or CPU use/efficiency.

The only benefit there may be (I haven't fully tested this idea) is to hide the preview render. While the preview is rendering CPU usage is still maxed out so having this running at the same time as a render is running cause a performance loss. Of course you can hide the preview render in the GUI as well.

Hi Ben,

The preview doesn't render during full rendering, or at least it shouldn't be.

So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

Preview rendering is halted during regular rendering and it continues after the primary is completed.
