TG2 FTW. Terragen 0.9 lacks most of the features of TG2 such as volumetric clouds, built in object importer and shaders, whole planet scenes rather than square sections and the node network is great for getting exactly the look you want with massive customisation opportunities. Plus the renderer is much much much much much more advanced now and a TG2 render can almost alway trounce a Terragen 0.9 render.
