Wow, fantastic work!  The detail and realism is excellent, as are the displacements and the textures.  Fantastic work :).

Good lord, that's near photoreal! Superb work. Wish you could have used a TG sky, but I know it's not as easy as integrating a photo. ;D Were it not for the sky though I'd say this is an easy IotW. It would be anyway, but I think it might be a bit dishonest to feature an image with that much post work. :(

Good job, Buzzzzzz.  I love the sky and I like your work.  I agree with everyone, ^^ except for IOTW.  Postwork seems a good thing, I think.  But...anyway, it's good work.
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

commented over at rendus...awesome rocks...love it!

I'm not against postwork in general, I just think it's disingenuous to feature a TG2 image in our gallery, where people are looking to see what TG2 is capable of, if the sky (a large part of the image) is not actually created in TG2. I imagine people would feel misled by that. But there's no doubt it's an outstanding image and the post work only serves to enhance it.

Thanks Oshyan.  That's a good point.

Thanks for your kind comment on my image Oshyan however I did state in my description of the image at Rundus that the sky was layered in with photoshop. In reading your comment I don't know if ,you are trying to say that I am being disingenuous (cynical or calculating) or that Planetside might appear disingenuous if my image was posted at Planetside's gallery?  The reason I don't render TG clouds is because of the long render times needed to achieve quality clouds.   It doesn't really matter to me one way or the other if it qualifies for IOTW or not. From some of the images I've seen in that gallery it doesn't really qualify for me as a badge of honor.

Great scene! You my friend are a true digital artist, who uses the "entire" tool box to get the desired result. I know I don't always post images in hopes of getting "Image of the Week/Month", mainly I just want input. So I'm not sure what prompted Oshyan's mention of the award in his response.

I really like this image. I was only saying that for us to put it in our gallery, I would be concerned it would be seen as misrepresentation *on our part* (not yours) due to the post work. As a work of art I think it is exceptional, the techniques used are not important.
