Since we all have our own strengths and weaknesses, it should be a collective effort on one singe scene.
I like the idea!
Howgh!

Let's HOORAH the winner then...or what is the deadline for this one?

After that, we'll start a new thread to figure out the next thing.  Does this sound okay, Mohawk?  Anyone else want to weigh in?

All right, contest closed! Congratulations, Ryan, and good luck on your image!

Congratulations to RArcher.   Fantastic work!!  You are a TG2 artist indeed.

Please consider sending your image to 3D World and represent us (but, no need to mention us, of course...just get it published!).

Thank you everyone for this humbling vote of confidence.  The image is currently rendering at the proper size and will be submitted as soon as it is finished.  If I hear back from them, I will surely let you all know.

Congrads mate, (sorry for the delay, I way at MIT's SPLASH all weekend) Best of luck in getting it accepted :)
The world is round... so you have to use spherical projection.

Hi everyone -

Ryan sent us his render on Saturday, and we'll be delighted to publish it in 3D World. The whole idea of the Terragen community banding together to find an image to represent the program to the 3D World readership is really cool. I've read back through the previous threads while you guys have been getting this contest and vote together, and I'm flattered on the magazine's behalf that you'd go to this trouble for us. And Ryan's image is great, which doesn't hurt  :)

Ryan, my colleague Ian will be in touch today with some questions and legal disclaimers we need to do. We're aiming to publish the image in the Exhibition section for 3D World 113, on sale 2 January 2009.

Regards,

Richard
