Have any of you been able to get a good glass shader for cars and planes? When I set transparency on a shader it is either on or off; I want to show the canopy of my plane but haven't found the right settings yet. I'm now using a water shader.

I've had some success using a water shader, all wave values set to 0, reflection set to your needs and subsurface "Decay Tint" set to a very high value, -2e+008 for example.
Hope this helps

cyphyr's settings should work for you. One tip, I might give you is to split your canopy. An egg shaped canopy that's only being seen from one side could have the unseen material unhooked, allowing more transparency, just a thought.
