I was digging in my folders for some old unfinished business and decided to pick up the work on this image:

(There are several more images in that topic I'll probably try to finish. I have some very nice ideas for them.)

This is still a WIP since a lot of improvements have to be made. For example the placement of the trees could be a lot better and although I "told" the density shader to start well above the waterline it still decided to put the trees into the water, annoying. I think the clouds are cool as they're now, think I won't do much about that unless you guys don't agree!
Some surfacing and stuff like fake stones to make it look more interesting are also to be done.
I might also try a different lighting angle, more from the front, so I might get some areas with direct lighting.

Did a very slightly shadows and highlights adjustment in photoshop as postwork, rest is straight from the renderer.
Just let me know what you think of it so far.

Thanks for stopping by!

Well, the clouds looks great...  ;)

You should do something about the colour of the shrubs, because they're too light in the shadows. Other than that, the terrain looks pretty nice in the shadows.
Howgh!

I like everything in this image although I'm a bit concerned about the clouds at the top; they seam to have very little detail compaired to the part directly over the mountain and look a bit like bathing foam ;D

Looks good so far. I would almost say that the clouds have invert profile checked.... Regardless, I like the direction that this image is taking, but be careful about the lighting. Try to get some highlights in there, but make sure that you don't sacrifice depth, because that's what I think will really make this image.

I couldn't suggest more than O_B.  This is heading in a good direction.
