Incredible render!  Makes me want to dip a coffee mug into that liquid and take a test sip...though not sure how long the metamorphosis into a xenoinsectoid would take.

It looks similar to this structure:

Are there any relations?

Seth

no, relation at all
no strata shader was used.
only PF

???? Only PF ????

IMO there are also some crater shaders. At the beginning I thought you used also inverted ones, but looking again your picture I am not sure.

Nice picture, if you ever post a bigger one, I will add it to my collection of wallpapers.

Bye

Pascal.

Seth

yeah some craters too, i was talking wbout the pod things ^^
i am happy to  see good feedbacks about this one  :)

You might see if someone would make a poster out of this one for you and try to sell it.  It's original enough, maybe some people would like it.
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

Seth

maybe I should re-render it bigger for that kind of thing...
I'll see what i can do...
thank you all

Wow! This is a brilliant one! Looks like some organic structure. Very impressive!  :o

here is the first version I made... without craters and more basic lighting...
you can see a closer view of the strange formation too...

rcallicotte

And you're planning on writing a tutorial about your lighting, still.  Ri-i-i-i-i-ght?

I was so fascinated by this image that I did some research on producing terrains like this.
Even if it is far from the genius of the original it shows quite interesting structures.

thats a great scene, I would love to see a gentle camera move in there with some freaky alienships swirling around!

inkydigit

that is gross....and excellent also...well done!
