Question regarding backgrounds.

Ok, so, this is probably simple, and I must be missing something somewhere.

When I have an image (oh for example, a star map) and I want to project it in the sky (via the background shader) it'll only display in the night sky.  (If I zoom out and render the planet, it'll have a diagonal fade out where the sun on the planet is...   

How can I make this so it always displays (and bleeds through the dimly lit sky)?

I assume you plugged an imagemap shader into a default shader that plugs into the background object (in internal network)?
Otherwise you might have selected the image from file directly in the default shader.

Either way I guess you only use the image map for colour.
You should also use it for luminosity, and set the light strength to something that works for you by trial and error (though a value of 1 should suffice).
