Simple Desert

Just a bit of simple desert here.  Felt like I hadn't created any renders in a while so found a few minutes and put this one together. Rendered in about an hour.

oh wow, Ryan, I like the detail in this a lot. Apart from the really great looking detail on the ground, the contrast is just right and the seemingly unspectacular sky is worth a closer look: its colors and also the cirrus are very well done!

This sand is purely fantastic!

I'd add a single but not too large rock somewhere on the left or right.

Thanks Frank,  I'm glad you noticed the sky, it was most likely the trickiest part.  Getting the clouds to blend properly with the sky can be tough.  Inky, the ripples were displaced based on an image map.

Excellent colors and lighting.  It looks a little hard; not that I wouldn't mind jumping in to find out.  Looks real!  Cool job!
