I'm new to Terragen, but I could not find the solution so far to this problem:
If I set my camera below a plane (or lake), the final render is like the plane were transparent - but it should not be. What's wrong?

Water does not currently render correctly from beneath or "within" the water. It is a surface effect only.

Ok, so below water will not work. But the file I up-loaded is a plane with a color shader (red) should this not render solid?

I believe planes are a single-sided surface, which is probably the reason why water also does not show up from underneath. If you need to see a plane from beneath, you can either flip it over, or use an imported object.
