Hi Gang

I'm announcing the launch of my new web site:

www.richardfraser.co.uk

Its purpose is to help promote my graphics, maybe get some work, show off some of my images and animations and test out my ideas out for a vegetation shop.
The shop will sell ground cover, trees, cacti, and other plant models. If the shop part of the site proves popular then I plan to move it over to another domain I own, www.3dtrees.co.uk and add many more models and downloads. I'll also be adding some free downloads in the coming days.

Take a look around and let me know what you think. It is still a WIP but I'd appreciate any feedback you can give.

Thankyou and enjoy the site :)

Hi Richard,

Here's some feedback  ;D

Unfinished bits:

- Footer area should be filled out
- There is a bit of Lorem ipsum dolor going on at the top of the Stills page

Stylistic bits:

- some of your blocks shift in size depending on which page you are on (look at the news box on the home page and again on the contact page)
- I know you can make your header image so much better.  Maybe render out a long strip of your latest vegetation test, I think it would look great.
- your shop image links have a default blue border around them after you click through them.  You may want to set border=0 in the links to get rid of that.
- not a big fan of your fonts
- sidepanel button layout is perhaps a bit dated  ;)

All told for a work in progress it is pretty nice and easy to navigate.  I like the fixed layout etc.

What I'd really like to know however is why you never posted the image with the pots against the wall with the blue window... It very well could be a photo and the overall composition is really fantastic.

Hopefully these suggestions help out and are not more critical than you were looking for.

Where did you get the model of the futuristic vehicle? It looks great!

Overall a nice site, easy to navigate.
Howgh!

Thanks for the crits Ryan, I've followed up on most of them :)
I agree about the buttons and the header, I'll fix those when inspiration hits me :)
The reason I've never posted the wall pots image here is it was created in Lightwave but I think I might try to dig out the files and try it in good ol' Terragen.
The jet car is the one from my images I posted here a few months back, I made it myself :)
I'll post updates to the site here and probably start posting in other forums as well.
thanks again
