This issue happens to me also in windows, i need to change the name of the file to use the .tgo: i receive the same error. The difference is if i do a rendering, i can see the Fern in a correct way... in linux instead the rendering give me an incomplete mesh.... If someone else can try those models and confirm my issue or not will be helpful.

this is a rebus!  Is there a option to run TG3 with a verbose output from a command line or a  to a log file? Maybe i can have more infos on the issue with such output.

Yes, you can run tgdcli.exe in the installation folder and you'll get a CLI window with some additional info.
