Well, of course I like the (fake?? ; ) stones (structure and colours are fantastic). Makes you wanna use them for your marble floor in your kitchen. ; )
But I have to admit that the scene itself looks too bright with laking contrast (like a photo taken with bad exposure settings). And the grass objects are good, though they still have a CGI feeling about them, dunno excactly why, perhaps it is the fact that they all seem very similar, with only two different colour-types.
Composition is nice, maybe just some more detail in the background and better exposure would make it perfect.

FrankB

Thank you

All,
does the image seem over-exposed / too bright on your screens as well?

Thanks;
Frank

Nope  - exposure looks just fine on my calibrated screen. However, Sen's image posted in another thread looks dark to me.

FrankB

Ok, so here is version 2, which I consider final. Thanks for viewing and any potential further comments.

Cheers,
Frank

Fantastic! :D

(Is the lower part a bit grainy or do I see things which aren't there?)

This is absolutely awesome Frank. The lighting is just right and enhances the image perfectly.

I have taken the freedom to add film grain, that's probably what you notice here.

Thanks Frank, I need to try some of the dozens I have in my texture files.

marble is great for the fake stones. especially when it's black and white marble. the dark mandering arteries can be used both for color and for making cracks. for the cracks, you just need to invert the image.

cheers,
Frank

Thanks for the tip on inverting the image map Frank; I'll be trying that out.
