Ugly white spots and more

Hi,
experimenting with some canyonlike structures again and everything seemed
to be fine, but then i changed my POV and got closer to the surface just to
find these ugly white spots (see attachment 01please).I have already tried
a few things to find the culprit, but, alas,no success.
Then i changed the POV again hoping to find a good view a little farther from
the surface and encountered another oddity (attachment 02),which i never
saw before. It shows up from different camera positions, not too far apart though,
and changes it's shape slighty, sometimes it cuts through the wall sometimes not.
One can find camera positions where it doesn't show up at all aswell.

While playing with these files i had several crashes navigating in the 3D Preview,
with the mouse aswell as with the arrow keys.Using the arrows caused some
unwanted behaviour also. When, for example,i wanted to move the camera down
it started moving an wouldn't stop until releasing both keys and pressing again.
The camera was inside the terrain then and the next move would crash TG2,but
navigating crashed the app without the camera being under the terrain also.

Yes i can. ;D ;)

Can you specify which one and what for,if i might ask?

Since no one else seems to have an idea let's wait and
see what PS will say,maybe.

Just to poke around at node network and see whats up and try various things.  PS will probably ask something simular so also just preempting them ;).

Yeah, I really can't say just by looking at it what's going on. The 2nd image looks like you're inside the terrain. The first is probably one of your shader nodes creating an effect you don't want. It may be a bug but it could as easily just be erroneous settings. I'd have to look at a TGD to be sure. Post one for both if you can.

OK,here are the files.
Although i'm in doubt that the white dots are due to a certain setting
in the nodes, because i've already tried to find out by disabling them
one by one,but maybe i just missed it.
Being under/inside the terrain could be possible, although i like to think
that i made sure that that's not the case,'cause i had that just before
i moved the camera to the location where it's at now. But,of course,it's
still possible, will have a look myself later also.

Edit:removed the files

The first one, with the white specks, is a bit of a mystery, but it seems to have to do with one of your extreme displacements, where you have a scale of 25, but a displacement amplitude of 100 (usually you don't want to exceed scale with displacement amplitude by much). Disabling that node changes the scene a lot, but pretty much eliminates the problem.

As for the 2nd one, go to the settings for the Planet node and increase displacement tolerance to 2. Problem solved.

Thanks for looking into it Oshyan.
Meanwhile i've tested some more and it looks like the white dots thing
might be connected with lighting also.Turned the camera around and
moved it to another place, still in the same canyon though, and as of
now didn't get these dots when the camera is closer to the surface.
Thanks again,J.
