Rendering on multiple computer ??? Possible ??? How ???

Well, Mental Ray Satellite is able to render in many computers without the need of spliting anything..., also Maxwell can perform cooperaive render with no split and so on..., so I think render in multiple machines CAN be done indeed.

That's kind of funny, PG :)  Yes, there are plenty of ways it can be done. The easiest way that we could get Terragen to do this would be to hand off individual buckets/tiles to different computers. I'd like us to implement something like that in future.

Until then, you need to split the render into parts manually or use some other tool to automate the process. I think someone on this forum has already written something that can do some of that(?)

When we render in Vray, we have a light pass generated per frame on one machine which is cached to a file which in turn is copied to the rest of the render farm. It's not my area of expertise, so appologise in advance if I've over simplified the process.
