Q: Atmosphere sample (slow render)

I guess you could leave the copy here and put a copy on the file sharing section.

Usually File Sharing would be for sharing something of particular interest, a specific technique or something. It's fine to leave it here, although you can add it to File Sharing if you want to. It's certainly not necessary though.

By the way I only really see 2 or maybe 3 layers of clouds in the final image. This seems like one of those situations where going a bit slower with adding elements to the scene, and not cranking up the settings right off, would be good. You'd get a better idea of how the scene was progressing with more in-between, lower-detail renders, and then not have a final render that you're disappointed with after many hours.

I get spikes like that when I adjust the coverage down on a child layer. Un-check the Break up Color Only on the main tab. Under the displacement tab, there is a slider for Offset. This slider will produce spikes when the coverage is not 100%.
I sometimes use this as a cheat for grasses or distant trees.
