Some more planet work with terragen A custom mod of a Jupiter  map. the rings is a standard plain obj mesh I have added the ring texture which was made in photoshop and mapped it onto the plain ;D also added a little translucency to the rings

I like the lower half - a lot actually, but the upper half is way too saturated blue, so that it looks very artifical. If you would tone that down you have a great overall render :)

here is a toned down version

I accidentally came across this colour when I was composing my scene in terragen but I rather liked it so I kept the colour.
artificial yes to our eyes but with a sun with a slightly shorter wavelength and a higher amount amount of nitrogen and oxygen with less dust distortion in the atmospher could result in this alien moons vivid atmosphere. just because its not earth like doesn't mean its artificial
the universe or multiverse is infinite their for their are an infinite number of possibilities their are sectors of dimensions that we are only just discovering somewhere out their a 2D earth exists where everything is flat with no depth :o Its hard to imagine but its possible their maybe even some universes where the laws of physics are completely different who knows that's why I love science fiction art because anything is possible!
