how do you get desert hills? perfect like that?

The desert hills are a fractal terrain. The fractal uses Perlin ridges as the noise type. Also try lowering the displacement roughness and spike limit so that the terrain is smoother.

Thanks. I have to credit photoshop for the simple color adjustment^^;
There's not really much extra in it from what I already said.
I'm actually not sure how to post a tgd, if i knew how then I would...

save it, then upload it to a post as an attachment ;) when you post, click additional options under the text box..

i hope it works.
Note: If you wanna play around with it, you should probably turn the cloud layers off, they are pretty detailed in my tgd.

Wow, awesome looking image Rich :)
Terrain is really beatiful, love those bumps and ripples. Cloud formations look very good as well!

I'm inmediately thinking of desert rock formations with rippled sand on the less steeper slopes (if you know what I mean :) )
