what would be the easiest way to do this....Its hell of a moon 

I tried it out....its not detailed very much but I havent used crater shader on my asteroid.....

Well you could try using 3Dguy's crter script to make a ton of cretors an then apllit them it the object.

That's a really useful script.  Hopefully, crater populations will be available in TG sometime soon.
