Hi All,

I never in my life thought I'd say I miss anything from slim (Pixar's crappy front end to RenderMan) but...

it has color spline node that allows you to set up an arbitrarily complex color spline and drive into that
spline with any float function: distance, depth, uv's, etc. Not only is this great for textures, but can be
used to make custom falloff for lights, specular functions, etc.
I'd like to humbly request this in some future release...

thanks,

Brian

Hi Brian,

We will be adding something to do this, basically a function curve editor/gradient editor, a bit further down the track.

Any chance of a better color editor? The Microsoft one works, but I like to be able to grab a color from an image. Blender will do this. It would be handy for setting color for ambient occlusion. For instance, there is a nice color in a sunset that T2 has rendered, but the clouds, or landscape is too dark. Click on the sample button, and click on the color to bring it into the editor. Then assign it to the needed color slot.

I would add to that and request the ability in the color picker to be able to use Hexadecimal color codes when importing color value's (Via Copy and Paste) from Photoshop as it would be faster too assign color's using Hexadecimal an example being  "# FBFBFC".  That is if you design a custom made color picker in future.

;D

Regards to you.
