giant fake stone on top of inverted crater?

I agree about the inverted crater, although I think it would probably be much easier to do the rock with a textured sphere or a very small planet :)

I tried something like this a long time ago. Somehow I caused a crash, and abandoned the project. I think I remember how I did it. I'll post a tgd when I have something.

It's most certainly the White Desert.

Look at my thread called "Rocks". The technique I use should enable you to get this effect if you want. The beauty of the graph is basically twofold. You can have better control of "pancake" type effect but most importantly the base of the rock will blend with the surrounding unlike if you use fake stones.

I guarantee you can get almost exactly the look of what you see in the White Desert.
