An attempt at re-creating the real thing. The mountains still need work as i am trying to fight the surface layers again. Kudos go out to X-Frog and Walli for the flora. Any other C&Cs are more then welcome.

Looking good, maybe put a dry bush or two in there to compliment the grass a bit. The sand is looking nice.
Cheers, Simon.
I just need to tweak that texture a bit more...

Hi

The midground is SUPER.

In the borground i whould erase the grass and
the background is strange for me. I thing better no grass, but maybe rocks.

This image is more or less based on parts of Utah. There is spats of flora sometimes on the dunes but i am opting for bushes instead. There are rocks there but i was going to get rid of them because they would look out of place for most dunes. Instead i want more color variations. The background is an angled strata with conifers which are quite common in many parts of Utah. I need to fix the colors though.

while you ask, yes, there are a couple great ones available here. Made by Walli.

Nice contrast between the ground colour and sky colour.
