crazy reequest

Hi All

This is beyond my maths ability or node playing with ability, so can anyone help?  I have generated some voroni spike and I want to subtract a helix from them to create a path that runs up the the spike. Possible if so how, a challenge for someone, beyond me at the moment.

Sounds like a Volker challenge to me. He does the best node function work I've seen, anywhere.
