The canyon wall is now officially awesome.  But one minor niggle - there seems to be a kind of haze visible further down the canyon - is that deliberate?

Thanks everyone...  domdib, I haven't really touched the amto yet. This is a massive bit of rock, so that may have something to do with it? I'm having trouble with showing the scale, I may have to scale up the trees a bit and cheat it to be smaller, as trees look tiny... more like bushes, any suggestions would be good

Hi domdib, I have had a break, to let the creative juices flow again.... I will come back to it soon. It's so easy to get side tracked into another project, as there is so much to learn. I'm trying to battle away with the colour variation in populations at the moment.... I don't understand how to achieve this, although it looks fairly simple, it seems I am too.

Get those trees away from the canyon! I like it better with just rocks. Maybe add a flying saucer down at the bottom picking up a rock for analysis?  That would be better for scale than a bunch of tiny trees growing through the rocks.

Some conifers and shrubs would look nice down there. For that type of climate it would make sense but to be honest several dry shrubs and a few dry grasses would be nice.
