nice work, it's obvious a lot of effort went into making it.

Cheers,

I play with Rail Simulator about once a month. Great image! (I'm a sucker for trains)

Forget Tuesday; It's just Monday spelled with a T

Very realistic.  Good lighting, too.
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

RArcher

Very well put together.  I would personally increase the exposure somewhat to give it a bit more dynamic feel, and also work on the textures on the close up wood stopping block, but these are minor things.  The object positioning is really well done.

schmeerlap

Yeh, I was thinking a bit more of a weathered texture on the sleepers, and rounding off those sharpish edges on them , but, again that's just a detail. This is a really good, well planned render.

ps. maybe put a gate in the gap of the railing fence, or the Health and Safety police will be after you.  ;)

I hope I realise I don't exist before I apparently die.

Looks awesome.
I was thinking about making a render of polish ET-22 on a curvy railway, but I don't have the models required for such scene. Maybe someday if I'll manage to model something big...

otakar

It's very pleasant, but a little too 'clean' for real life :)

The ballast needs to cover a bit more, should come up to the top of the sleepers. I love trains and I'm into HO scale railroading. 8)

tee

really nice something different

cyphyr

LOL. just followed your "hidden" link, nice one:)

ps I like the image and as others have said, its a good start, I'd go for "grunging" it up, making the grass more varied, the track and sleepers more beat up etc
Keep at it :)

it must have been very long to prepare !!!

neat idea!

i once tried to make a railroad scene with the railroad tgo provided on terragen.org, it did'nt work out very well, i thhink I'll try it again, but I think this time I'll model the rails myself.

Hi! this is really different from what I had expected. Instead of a train on rail, there is the blockage ending the railway track, which we often see but dont pay much attention too.
Reminds me of my childhood days when I used to wonder why railways switches tracks and some rail went on missing / ending just like that. Also the grasses and plants covering up the blockages signifying time.

efflux

Very nice quality render.
