where can i find some cactus' or desert plants? Does xfrog give free versions  of those?

As far as XFrog goes, there are no free desert plants that I am aware of.  These are the only other free xfrog plants I have found so far: http://web.inf.tu-dresden.de/ST2/cg/downloads/publicplants/

There is a free desert plant that I came across a while ago and posted at Ashundar.  You can find it at http://sdcarpenter.free.fr/paul/ashundar/Ocotilla.zip

Eh... it's an obj.  It looks OK in TG2, but I haven't checked the poly count.
