Hi all

Haven't posted anything new for a while.... Way too much "Real Life" getting in the way at the moment  >:(

Anyway, here is a quick render I knocked up last night and rendered this morning. Nothing out of the ordinary or anything or something or nothing... SHUT UP!.... ooops, sorry, slipped into Vicky Pollard there for a moment. I just fancied having a muck around. hope you all like. Any Ideas, C&C would be much appreciated. The 1st one is render to BMP and a wee bit of colour ballancing in Photopaint and the second is as an EXR and faffed with. (think I prefer the 1st?)

Can't imagine much worse than slipping into Vicky Pollard! Yuk!
As for the picture, I prefer the smaller sun version, but as you say nothing too special. How about a higher layer of wispy cirrus?

I think the reason the second one isn't as appealing is that the yellow becomes over-powering - it looks more like a toxic gas or a layer of smog in the high clouds. Perhaps if you shifted the colour balance a little towards the orange/red it might look better? Also, in faffing to produce the clearly defined sun disc, you've removed the increased intensity you would expect at and near the sun, which looks unnatural.

It might be worth playing with the sky colour too, making it a lighter shade of blue?

My two cents  :)

The clouds seem to look better in the first. I agree the yellow in the second is over powering.

Ta all for the comments. I agree, the 2nd one is wayyyyy too yellow, especially after uploading  :o Taken domdibs suggestion on board and made the sky bluer. What do you think?
